How Does Nitronox™ Work?
Not to get too sciencey, but Nitronox™ is a simple delivery system consisting of 50% O2 and 50% N2O–controlled by you during your procedure. The 2-cylinder cart is wheeled in with a mask attached. After putting on the mask, both oxygen and nitrous oxide are supplied. If oxygen is depleted, oxygen-driven pressure control shuts off nitrous oxide. Everything exhaled is carried away in the scavenger tube–kind of like a vacuum!
